There's nothing quite like a scenic drive through the Sunshine Coast hinterland, and our Sunday adventure led us to an absolute gem – Kenilworth Dairies cafe. The journey itself was a delight, winding our way up through the charming town of Maleny, cruising through Baloomba, and following the early twists and turns of the Mary River, we felt the week's stress melt away.
Upon arriving in the picturesque town of Kenilworth, we were greeted by the quaint and inviting atmosphere of the Kenilworth Dairies cafe and decided to have a look. With an appetite for something local and authentic, we decided on the Cheese Platter for two, and let me tell you – it was a decision well made!
The platter was a cheese lover's utopia, boasting an absolutely delicious selection of local cheeses that were the perfect match to the fresh, succulent fruit accompanying them. Each bite was a testament to the quality and care put into their locally made produce.
For anyone seeking the quintessential hinterland experience, or just a fabulous weekend drive with a tasty destination, I highly recommend making a stop at Kenilworth Dairies cafe. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!
Bonus Tip for the Adventurous Foodies 🧀: After you've snagged your delectable cheese platter for two, take a scenic drive north of Kenilworth and head towards the serene Baroon Pocket Dam. It's the perfect picturesque area for a romantic picnic or a chill day out with your friends!
Sadly didn’t try the famous cheese (will definitely in the future) but however we did try the ice cream and it was delicious. Some of the best I’ve had. Was a nice day too
Stopped in for morning tea today. Have been a couple of times before. Always have the nicest cheese but today we also stopped for cuppa and scones. The scones were so soft and fluffy and tasted amazing. Would definitely be back. And as usual the cheese is delicious. A definite must when in the area. Have also become addicted to their salted caramel chocolate mousse. Lucky I don’t live close enough to visit too often. A really big recommendation to try the mousse.

Great selection of cheese, yoghurt and mouses. We enjoyed a milkshake and bought some yummy cheese.
We bought chilli cheddar cheese and tried to grate on a pizza and it was like playdough and turned to mush… strange texture. #fail
Wow, what a find! Skip the queue at the bakery and head here for a delicious, and cheap feed and great coffee! Excellent advice and recommendations from the server. Thank you for our yummy breaky, we will definitely be back.

Their cheese platter for 2 is exceptionally delicious! The lemon, honey and passion fruit frozen yoghurt is revolutionary! The B&E roll and steak S/W were tasty, simple and affordable. The coffee was better than some others in the area. (Not naming names.)
Purchased a few cheeses and chutney to take home.

The only thing I’d suggest is using takeaway boxes without holes in the bottom as the balsamic oil dressing leaks through the bottom.
